“No!” on Taxes for Veterinary Services

That’s right - Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has proposed to extend the sales tax to veterinary services. It is his administrations’ conception that taking care of our furry friends is a luxury and should be taxed as one measure to help out with our current budget crisis. California animal shelters are already suffering from the foreclosure crisis and this new tax will raise the price of caring for our animals and will only lead to more problems. This is your California and now is not the time to stick it to animal lovers while many others area’s of the retail industry are exempt from this absurd new proposal.
