Dog Day Afternoon at the Cathedral 2011!

This past Tuesday, the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, here in downtown Los Angeles, held its 5th Annual 'Dog Day Afternoon' Event!  Last year, there were over 1,000 people and 500 plus dogs that filled the plaza of the Cathedral.  The social canine event of the year attracted dogs of all breeds and their humans for a festive evening of mingling, music, pet-related vendor displays, and great food – all to celebrate our four-legged furry ambassadors who help create the Downtown Los Angeles community.  

Often times, people are amazed at the amount of dogs and owners who populate the downtown area, and this year, the downtown dog community came out in FULL force - with over 1100 people this year and almost 750 dogs!  Our ORIGINAL green 'SWAG' bags filled with delicious treats and foods from Souplements, Before Grain, Stella & Chewy's and Merrick, along with our FUN Prize Wheel were a HUGE hit in the plaza of the Cathedral!  If that wasn't enough, we had the guys from FreshFetch making fresh and tasty meals for all pooches in attendance.  The event went from 6pm until 9pm - but even with over 300 of our amazing SWAG bags, our tables were cleared out by 7:30pm!!!  Whoa!
