 hol in NYC for his original one of a kind hand painted evening jackets
  and artistic notoriety for his contributions to the most successful a
 dvertising campaign in history the for the Absolut Vodka brand. Planas
 ’ Main Street Menagerie paintings will commemorate the passing of Gi
 dget, the famous Taco Bell Chihuahua icon. Planas pays homage to the p
 op art style of Andy Warhol, Keith Harring, and Jean Michael Basquiat,
  great artists whom he met while working in NYC in the early part of t
 he 80's.\n\nMain Street Menagerie, a unique live art work in progress,
  where art lovers are welcome to come and watch the fine artists at wo
 rk. Planas will set up his easel and paint his colorful animals on bot
 tles, canvas, glass windows and other cool surfaces during the month o
 f August. The Bailey Gallery will be open weekly on Thursdays, Saturda
 ys, Sundays 2pm-6pm to those who want to meet/view the artist during t
 his progressive exhibition.\n\nCompleted works will be on exhibition a
 nd for sale to the public at the September Artwalk Artist Reception. A
  portion of artwork sales to benefit PAWS/LA, a non-profit organizatio
 n devoted to disenfranchised animal guardians living with HIV/AIDS and
