 a kind hand painted evening jackets and artistic notoriety for his con
 tributions to the most successful advertising campaign in history the 
 for the Absolut Vodka brand. Planas’ Main Street Menagerie paintings
  will commemorate the passing of Gidget, the famous Taco Bell Chihuahu
 a icon. Planas pays homage to the pop art style of Andy Warhol, Keith 
 Harring, and Jean Michael Basquiat, great artists whom he met while wo
 rking in NYC in the early part of the 80's.\n\nMain Street Menagerie, 
 a unique live art work in progress, where art lovers are welcome to co
 me and watch the fine artists at work. Planas will set up his easel an
 d paint his colorful animals on bottles, canvas, glass windows and oth
 er cool surfaces during the month of August and Sept.\n\nCompleted wor
 ks will be on exhibition and for sale to the public at the September A
 rtwalk Artist Reception. A portion of artwork sales to benefit PAWS/LA
 , a non-profit organization devoted to disenfranchised animal guardian
 s living with HIV/AIDS and the care of their companion animals.\n\n\nG
